In Defense of the Off-Season: The Hamptons

As the season begins, we at (elegantology) take a last look at our favorite time in the Hamptons: Off-season. Soon 27 will be backed up to Bellport and summer nights will be bubbling with bottle service and bimbos. Desperate weekenders will cram as much sun and summer as they can into frantic trips to crowded beaches and packed shares. It’s almost enough to make you forget how beautiful and peaceful the Hamptons can be. So, here is a reminder:

Georgica Beach: All to yourself

East Hampton: Quaint and quiet

Easy to get a reservation at Nick&Toni’s or 1770 House

Did I mention the beaches are empty?

Cavaniola in Sag Harbor: Just as porktastic in the off-season

Springs: Pollock lived here year-round

The best part about the off-season: No one is watching
